![]() Our new date was scheduled for the 15th January 2022. It would seem they disregarded that COVID and not us meant they could not perform. Our wedding planner suggested an alternative date which the band accepted as a ‘gesture of good will’. Amanda and the band refused demanding full payment claiming it was our venue’s fault rather than a pandemic. This created a ‘frustrated contract’ which meant legally we were entitled to get our money back. Our venue, in inner city London in a residential area, deemed having a band as unsafe and we were told frankly that it would not be possible to have a band. Our 2021 wedding was met with many COVID restrictions - venue managers had complete autonomy over what was deemed safe and unsafe with pages long risk assessments. Once Jack Entertainment has your deposit they are quite hostile. Overly responsive and polite they seemed like the perfect people to support us during such a stressful period of our lives: how wrong we were. What better way than a band? Conga Revolution and their manager Amanda from Jack Entertainment seemed to fit the bill. Having had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 my partner and I wanted to spend a little extra to make our day the best possible.
